Dr. Fuhrmann is a graduate of Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where he cared for the people on the Navajo and Pueblo lands. A board-certified family practitioner, Dr. Fuhrmann's special interests in medicine are pediatrics and sports medicine.

He has varied outdoor interests, which include gardening, skiing, hiking and fishing in the San Juans with his son.
