Dr. Nelson earned her medical degree at the University of California at San Diego and did her residency at Swedish Family Medicine in Seattle. Dr. Nelson is fluent in Spanish and appreciates working with diverse patient populations. She has a special interest in sports medicine and women's healthcare, including obstetrics. She believes in open communication and that a successful patient-doctor relationship is formed by mutual respect.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Nelson is a competitive runner and enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys cycling, triathlons, backpacking, traveling and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
