Alaine Nijenhuis completed her training as a Physician Assistant at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She also holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Community Health. Before becoming a Physician Assistant, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in a rural health clinic in West Africa. Alaine is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is board-certified in Family Practice. She enjoys all aspects of family practice, especially adolescent and women's healthcare.

In her free time, Alaine volunteers at her kids' school, enjoys swimming, cross-country skiing, and spending time with her husband and two young children.
